God rules: there’s something to shout over!

Your favorite Olympian: Poseidon. I really fell in love with his character. And C’mon. Who wouldn’t think living under water is cool? Seriously now. That’s amazing. 

something in common… just kidding ;) But I do like her, I love wisdom and I like how her character is stern because she knows what’s best, but in a loving way because what’s best isn’t always what’s easy.

Athena, because that way I could have a really intellectual conversation and when she left I’d have something to think about.  Or, Poseidon; I’d ask him to allow me to breath underwater so I could swim in the Ocean and such.

Christ revelation.

Something God laid on my heart: Lord, bless the person who reads this. God, please don’t allow the devil to intervene and make this come across as bitterness or know-it-all-ish. You laid this on my heart, and I am obediently sharing it. Allow it to come across as humble and gentle, but also serious, Lord. Thank you, Father. Amen.

I don’t want to be accepted, I want to be respected. 

God’s approval is the only approval that matters; and lasts.  The unsightly opinions that some people may have, often don’t.  The ridiculously unnecessary judgmental disapproval is often, if not always, forgotten. Think about it.  Even the disfavor we *(sarcasm) generously* lend ourselves is forgotten.  Am I right?  Yes.  Ha!  But seriously, they are.  Why does this generation severely long for acceptance?  The only thing we are entitled to do when someone is  obviously confused[;)] is 1.) Pray for them; fervently and humbly.  Whatever they think you are struggle with, they more than likely battle with themselves.  And 2.) Ask the Lord for boldness. To stand up for yourself.  Demand respect of them, and or, yourself. God will be there to back you up for sure, If you are acting according to His ultimate will. (That’s where discernment comes in.. a completely different, deep topic).

I pray for Christ to ignite boldness in me. Drench that bold stuff up with oil, light it on fire. Lord, help me to desire respect rather than acceptance. Lord, help me to stand up boldly for what you have allowed me to conceive as righteous and holy; according to your Word. For the furtherance of your Mighty Kingdom. God, I am at your feet, asking this humbly of you. You are holy. 

God, I love you so much. 
Thank you for boldness. Thank you for gentleness.  You created them both and you will bless them. Thank you, Jesus.

Where I long to be.

Lord, I imagine myself at the foot of your throne. Lying prostrate, kissing your feet affectionately; full of joy and humility. I haven’t gazed upon your face honestly yet; however, I see a magnificent, light reflecting off the golden streets. My eyes are filled with tears of amazement; joy. But through the mist of delightful bewilderment I can distinguish features. Not a nose, nor eye, nor the sweet mouth of my king; but of everything simply good, and angelically peaceful.

Of all things you’ve ever bestowed upon me: happiness, fear, confidence, uncertainty. All I can do is insensibly stare at the likeness. For something inside me knows, that to look upon your miraculous splendor directly would mean the definite end of me. However, as I once again gain the liberty of hands and mouth they automatically begin to caress and kiss your holy feet.

God I don’t want leave this moment. I could lie here forever. Grant me this one thing, Oh Lord: that I may find favor in your house forever. I have no intention of leaving this place, Father. But if the world succeeds in greedily tearing me away from you, fight to bring back, Lord. God, leave the spot at your feet for me. Open always for the use of worshipping you. And there I will lie forever, at the feet of my Savior. 

You Are Blessed

When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed, climbed with him. Arriving at a quiet place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions. This is what he said: "You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule. You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is more dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you. You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are — no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought. You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of being ‘care-full,’ you find yourselves cared for. You’re blessed when you get your inside world — your mind and heart — put right. Then you can see God in the outside world. You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family. You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom. Not only that — count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens — give a cheer even! — for though they don’t like it, do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.” SALT AND LIGHT"Let me tell you why you’re here. MURDER You are familiar with the command to the ancients, ‘Do not murder.’ I’m telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder. Carelessly call a brother ‘idiot!’ and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell ’stupid!’ at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire.       

                              The simple moral fact is that: words kill.
